X-Men - Kitty Pryde Bishoujo 1/7th Scale Statue
Kitty Pryde was perhaps the first real ‘student’ in the at the Xavier Institute, introduced as a 13 year old girl with phasing abilities. She can move through objects by disrupting the flow of electrons as she passes. As she matured she adopted the moniker ‘Shadowcat’ and quickly became a fan favourite fighting alongside the X-men.
This figure is depicted in the Japanese bishoujo style, which depicts stereotypically ‘pretty’ young girls, commonly seen in Japanese media. Shadowcat’s eyes are large, her chin pointed and brown hair snaking over her shoulders. The heels and posture are exaggerated in order to display the most picturesque version of this mutant. Perched on her arm is Lockheed, an intelligent alien with whom Kitty shares a psychic bond.
Bases on an illustration by Shunya Yamashita and sculpted by Mangusai Touda, this figure from Kotobukiya’s Bishoujo series stands in 1/7th scale, and is set a display base.
