Fan-favourite Daryl Dixon, from AMC’s hit television series The Walking Dead, is a lone wolf survivalist who has proven time and again to be a vital sentinel for Rick Grimes and his group in an unpredictable and perilous apocalyptic world. McFarlane Toys’ deluxe box set features Daryl Dixon with his iconic chopper motorcycle. The figure’s exact likeness is created using a full 3D scan of the actor himself, Norman Reedus! This brand new sculpt portrays Daryl in his angel wings stitched biker vest and includes approximately 20 points of articulation, hunting knife and new crossbow. Daryl’s transportation of choice in this apocalyptic world is his brother Merle’s black chopper motorcycle. The first vehicle produced for The Walking Dead action figure line, this iconic chopper includes the lightning-bolt insignia on the tank, skull decal, and saddlebags.

when i saw Daryl on the chopper for the first time in the show I knew that i needed to own a figure of Daryl with his chopper. This figure is great for any TWD fan and a must have for collectors.

The detail on the Chopper was amazing. I couldn't resist taking it out of the box to look at the bike. The bike has skulls, which deviate from the bike in the series. I don't mind though. The detail on the bike is amazing. McFarlane really went all out on this set. The figure has incredible detail for the size and does look like Norman Reedus. Get this set. You won't be disappointed.
Amazing Detail!

The detail Todd put into Daryl's chopper is just amazing! Nothing has been overlooked - right down to the brake lines running to the front wheel, kickstand, throttle and exhaust. The hand bars move freely and the tyres spin. On the front is a special spot to hold Daryl's well known crossbow, or it can be placed on the back behind the passengers seat if you don't want it partially blocking the headlight. If the crossbow is positioned right, it won't hinder the wheel at all on the front.
Sitting over the passenger seat are the saddle bags that are removable, but can't be opened. Would have been cool to have been able to stuff things in them, but still a neat feature on the bike as are.
Daryl is happy to take a passenger, even without taking the saddlebags off. The bike stood up on its on with the kickstand and flat piece pressed into the back tyre with both Daryl and Michonne onboard.
This true to life looking Daryl measures 5 1/4" in height and has a flexible pouch at his waist for his knife accessory to slip into. His head, arms, chest, waist, wrists and knees all rotate a full 360 degrees. There's a reasonable amount of head nodding, although he can't look up skywards too much because his hair and jacket get in the way at the back. Being sleeveless means we get to see some nice bulging muscles and nothing getting in the way of his elbows bending 90 degrees. His wing vest is very pliable on the bottom front edges. I love that feature!
Daryl's legs are capable of doing the splits, but not quite to the degree that Michonne series 7 or Rick series 6 can.....unless it's just mine. Either way it doesn't bother me at all. He can kick forwards, backwards and knees bend 90 degrees so he can sit in a sitting position. His ankles will move a tiny bit and the bottom of his shoes are finished off with tread pattern.
I was able to get Daryl to hold the handle bar of the bike with his right hand, but found his left hand was a little too clenched.
I love the work that has gone into this set - he is very well done!
