The Magnetic Fields - Quickies LP Vinyl Record (2020 Record Store Day Exclusive Transparent Magenta Coloured Vinyl)

Released exclusively in celebration of Record Store Day 2020 is the first LP pressing of The Magnetic Fields' “Quickies” album. Recently released digitally and as a singles box set, this LP contains an exclusive track: "The Witches Fly.” The Magnetic Fields (named after the André Breton novel Les Champs Magnétiques) are an American indie pop group founded and led by Stephin Merritt. Their songs are often written in the style of synth-pop, indie pop, and noise pop.

The group's primary songwriter, producer and vocalist, as well as frequent multi-instrumentalist, Merritt’s recognisable ability to blend comedy and heartache through finely observed character studies is one of his greatest strengths, and that skill in fine form throughout “Quickies.”The brilliant pop songs of this album reinforce the unstoppable brilliance of the bands musicianship writing, regardless of the subject matter, they manage to be effortlessly charming, funny, odd, and above all, catchy.
