Funko Pop! Vinyl Damages Policy
Funko Pop Vinyls are a mass produced toy line from various factories across the Far East region. Funko have their own Quality Control program to ensure the product they are producing meet with their company standards. As a retailer, we look over the products to ensure they are the correct items and to discard any obviously defective items, which we do, by the dozens, each and every week.
As a mass produced toy line, there are variations in the manufacturing process that do occur. This can include but is not limited to, slight creases or scuff marks on packaging, minor paint variations, stickers included or not included on boxes etc etc. These are all considered "minor variations" in a mass produced product. You should also keep in mind that the packaging of these products are exactly that, a way to get the actual POP vinyl from A to B. They are designed to assist retailers and Funko themselves to promote and sell what is actually inside the box - the collectable toy.
We will not be replacing or refunding products that have "minor variations". The products are still fit for their intended purpose, which is a fun collectable toy to play with or display and there is nothing further we, as a retailer, can do for customers seeking a pristine product.
These products have passed Funko QC and have been deemed fit for retail markets across the globe by Funko. If you have a particular issue with the quality of Funko's products, please contact Funko through their website at www.funko.com to provide that feedback.
The rationale behind this policy is that what is considered a "mint" or "pristine" Pop! Vinyl collectable toy or what is deemed an "issue" with a Pop! is a subjective view held by the individual and varies widely from consumer to consumer. We, as a retailer of collectables for over 21 years, simply have to draw on our collective knowledge and experience in the industry and cast an objective view on what we consider are products that have a "defect" vs products that have a "minor manufacturing variation".
For those collectors that are fastidious about pristine boxes, we at all times try our best to get replacement boxes where we can, however we cannot guarantee this.
Yes we do offer lay-by on the goods you see on our on-line store (unless otherwise specified ie. if the product is a lucky last).
To setup a lay-by you will need to call us on our hotline (1300 586 291) or email us (email@example.com).
Before you do though, read through these brief terms and conditions of our lay-by policy, as we will not set one up for you unless you can comply with the following:
- The item you are wishing to purchase via lay-by is over $200.
- You can pay a 20% deposit at the commencement of the lay-by.
- You can make regular payments - either weekly, fortnightly or monthly but no longer intervals will be accepted.
- You agree to have the Lay-By finalized and fully paid for so that we can ship it out to you by no later than 12 weeks from the date the 20% deposit was paid.
How do I pay the deposit or regular payments?
For lay-by accounts the only method of payment we accept is credit cards. We require payment amounts and dates of payments to be authorised in advance. These payment will be automatic and you will receive a receipt when these payments are processed.
What happens if I miss a payment or I reach the 12 week cut-off with funds owing?
If you miss a payment, we will contact you and give you a grace period to make the payment to keep the lay-by going.
If after the grace period elapses and you still have not made the payment, then at Popcultcha’s discretion, it can cancel the lay-by and return the item back into stock to be purchased by other customers. Should the item be released back into stock, your Popcultcha account will still have a credit for the dollar value you had paid off to that date the stock was released. You do not forfeit this dollar amount, it can be applied to future purchases.
If your lay-by reaches a 12 week maturity and you have not paid it out, we will contact you to request payment in full on the piece. If you cannot pay in full, then Popcultcha, at its discretion, can cancel the lay-by and return the item(s) back into stock. Should this occur, you will still have a credit on your Popcultcha account for the dollar value of funds paid toward the lay-by to use against future purchases.
Cash refunds will not be given.
What happens if I change my mind during the lay-by?
If you decide that you no longer want to proceed with the lay-by at any stage during the lay-by period (up to 12 weeks), at your instruction, we can cancel your lay-by and return the item(s) back into stock. You will have a credit on your Popcultcha account for the dollar value of funds paid toward the lay-by to use against future purchases.
Cash refunds will not be given.
I am a collector and I have a running pre-order and lay-by with Popcultcha. I am continually adding items to it and picking things up as they arrive. What terms and conditions govern my dealings with Popcultcha?
If you fit this profile then I am sure one of our Toy Masters will have set out parameters that govern your transaction(s) which suit both parties.
However, for completeness, we generally require you to maintain a 10% security balance on the running order (which is never refundable in cash) against all in-stock lay-by items and pre-orders yet to arrive. We will encourage you to pay down the in –stock items first before pre-paying pre-orders in full.
