Street Fighter - Vega 1/4 Scale Statue

Also known as Balrog in Japan, Vega is born to a noble family in Spain, who after witnessing the murder of his much loved mother is transformed into a masked murderer with severe bloodlust. Welding a Wolverine-esque claw on his left forearm, he has constructed a unique fighting style combining Japanese ninjutsu, French savate, American Zipota and of course, Spanish bullfighting.

First appearing as a  boss opponent in the original Street Fighter II in 1991, Vega is welcomed as a playable character in Street Fighter II: Champion Edition and has been a fan favourite ever since.

This new statue by Pop Culture Shock features a masked Vega in a purple motif, leaping gracefully from a detailed decorative base inspired by Spanish architecture. Sculpted by Rene Aldrete and Jerry Macaluso, and painted by Mike Najera, this statue stands 23” tall and is set to be a standout piece in your Street Fighter collection.

I am in love~!

The most beautiful thing I've ever bought! I was kind of wary spending so much money on a statue I'd only seen master photos of , but seriously, he is just as gorgeous in real life!

His pose is extreme and he is on such a huge lean, so make sure you've got a big display space for him! The base is REALLY heavy and solid, and also very beautiful. The snakes are a really nice touch!

I particularly love his eyes, and was really impressed that he has (at least part of) a face under his mask. Like, you can see the bridge of his nose through the eye holes.

If I had to criticise one thing, I find the magnet that holds the end of his sash on doesn't grip it as firmly as I would like, and I worry it's going to fall off. But it doesn't affect the aesthetics of this statue at all.

In conclusion - he's a huge, heavy, gorgeous lump! And if you're as big a Vega fan as I am, I wholeheartedly recommend that you add him to your collection (or weird shrine ^_~) as soon as possible!
