Domestic Shipping

Regular eParcel 

We ship all Australian customers from our Head Office and Warehouse in Geelong, Victoria.

We should have your order sent out 1-3 business days after you have placed the order. Please note that business days are (Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm). If for some reason we are out of stock of an item on your order, we will ship you the balance of the order and generally put that item on back-order/pre-order for you (provided we are likely to receive more stock of the item) or we will refund you for that item (if we are not likely to get it back in). You will be notified about these issues (if they arise) via email or telephone by our customer support team.

We offer a flat rate of $6.99 shipping to any Australian address for all orders placed via the website, email or telephone if the total value of the order is under $100 (GST inclusive).

This flat rate $6.99 shipping service is via standard Australia Post eParcel.

If your order is over $100 (GST inclusive), then we ship your order complimentary or freight free. Again, this is all done through regular Australia Post eParcel.

If your item(s) is oversized, or weighs more than 20kg, we will need to use a courier service to deliver your order to you. This will not cost you any more than the $6.99 (for orders under $100) or the Free Shipping for orders over $100. However, we will need to contact you to arrange for someone to be home at the delivery address or alternatively, you may wish to have it delivered to your workplace or another address that is occupied between the hours of 9am to 5pm.

Express Post

If you choose to pay additional shipping for our domestic Express Post option there is no Free Shipping on items over $100. Rather, your shipping cost will be calculated based on the weight of your consignment and the address it is being shipped to.

Similarly, an additional Express Post premium is added to the $6.99 flat rate shipping for all orders under $100, again based on the weight of your consignment and the address to which it is going.

If the order is placed before Noon (AEST), your order will be dispatched the same day. If there is a backorder for goods temporarily out of stock, you will be notified via email or telephone.

Packing Standards

We don’t like to brag at Popcultcha, but having been in the collectables industry for over 21 years now, we know all about mint condition collectables and the fastidious nature of collecting stuff!

What’s more is that most of us Popcultcha Peeps are collectors ourselves! What this means for you is that we pack your orders the way we like to receive our own orders, so we take the utmost care in ensuring your goodies get from our HQ to your home safely and securely.

 

Statues, Busts, Hot Toys & High-End Collectables 

Where items arrive to us Factory Sealed, we send them out Factory Sealed.

We are not in the business of opening and playing with our toys and collectables, we bring them in and send them back out again! With Hot Toys we bubble wrap the individual Hot Toys cartons to give them a little extra padding in the courier/mail process. The only Hot Toys we generally don't bubble wrap are the bigger bulkier items that have carry handles in any event.

With Sideshow items such as Statues and Busts, we send them out exactly the way they come in, factory sealed and in their original cartons.

The only exception to these standards is where you, the customer, request us to open an item, inspect it for any potential shipping damage or defect and return it to the box exactly the way we found it. This is rare that we do this, as both Popcultcha and the customer would prefer to deal in factory sealed cartons.

 

International Shipping

Pack & Track International

This is the standard international service offered through Australia Post. This option is only available for orders weighing under 2kg. If you are having trouble selecting this option at the checkout it is likely your order is more than the allowed weight. This service is fully traceable on the Australia Post website so that you have the piece of mind to know where your parcel has been scanned and at what stage of the journey it is in. This service is usually delivered within 3 to 10 business days (This may vary for certain countries. Check Australia Post’s International Postal Guide for country specific information and regulations). 

Postage rates start at $12.50 AUD for this service and can be shipped to the following countries:

Express Courier International (ECI)

ECI is our fastest service, and is full trackable. The parcel is sent through Australian Post ECI system which generally guarantees delivery in 3 - 10 business days in all zones. International orders weighing more than 2kg and/or from locations outside of the Pack & Track network must be sent via ECI.

This service is a premium express courier service and is fully traceable on the Australia Post website, so that you have the piece of mind to know where your parcel has been scanned and at what stage of the journey it is in. Also, the item moves far quicker through this system than it would via regular International Air Mail. Moreover, parcels require signature at the point of delivery abroad.

Due to the premium nature of this service, it is a little more expensive than Pack & Track International, so please use our cart shipping calculator to assist in your decision making as to shipping service.

Please note that where you have elected to pay for ECI shipping on a shopping cart that contains a mix of in stock and pre-order items, we will send your in stock items out via ECI shipping, however the balance of the pre-order items may be shipped out via Pack & Track International as and when each of them arrive into stock. Our system simply does not allow for an accurate shipping price for multiple shipments. So what does this mean for you... our international friends? Your in stock items will ship out super quick as per normal, your pre-order items may take a little longer to get over to you. If you really want an ECI service, we suggest you make separate orders for in stock items and then for pre-order items and this will ensure everything will ship via ECI.

30 day return/exchange policy (Product Guarantee)

Here at Popcultcha, we take pride in ensuring that your goods have been carefully picked are packed with care to ensure that your item is not only of the highest possible quality, but that it arrives safely at your nominated delivery address. We recognise the importance of buying mint condition collectables and do the best we possibly can to ensure they remain that way from door to door. 

However, sometimes items do become damaged in transit or there is some form of manufacturing defect thereby making the goods unfit for their intended purpose. If this is the case with your item please contact Popcultcha immediately via email to info@popultcha.com or via telephone on 1300 586 291  (Australian Customers) or +61 3 5240 7991 (International Customers) between 9am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday (AEST/AEDT). 

Customers who have purchased from Popcultcha should note that all returns/exchange enquiries must be received by Popcultcha within 30 days of you receiving your goods at your nominated delivery address. A Popcultcha Customer Support representative will be in contact with you within 1 - 2 business days after receiving your enquiry. 

Upon receiving notification of damage or a manufacturing defect, we may request photographic evidence of the parcel and/or the the particular product that has the issue. We will review this photo and contact you at our earliest convenience to discuss your options in relation to the product issue. 

 

Defective items 

Popcultcha will only issue refunds, exchange products and/or issue store credit if the defective item is returned to us in exactly the same condition it was received by the customer. 

Popcultcha will cover the shipping cost of defective item from the customer's nominated delivery address to our HQ in Geelong, Victoria. This can be done several ways ie. Popcultcha emailing a returns shipping label to the customer to use at their local Australia Post Office, or by refunding the postage upon the defective item being received by us at HQ. However, it must be noted that Popcultcha reserves the right not to reimburse postage costs unless it expressly approves of the item being returned to us at HQ - therefore, it is very important that if you have got a defective or damaged item, you must contact us within 30 days of receiving that item.

 

Change of Mind

Popcultcha does not offer refunds for change of mind. In the event you would like to return your item for another product or store credit, the customer is liable for any and all shipping costs associated. The item must be returned to Popcultcha in exactly the same condition it was received by the customer.

You must contact Popcultcha to discuss any exchange within 30 days of receiving your item. Popcultcha reserves the right to refuse any return of a product due to change of mind. 

 

Refunds

All refunds are at the discretion of Popcultcha. Unless your item is deemed defective or is different from what was advertised you will not be entitled to a refund. 

In the event of a refund, you will receive your money in the same manner and currency in which you paid ie. Credit Card, PayPal, Bank Transfer.

  • Credit Card

Refunds to credit card will be made to the exact card that was used to purchase the item. The refund will be made in Australian Dollars (AUD) at the current exchange rate. Popcultcha is not liable for any variation in amount refunded due to exchange rates. 

It can take up to 30 days for the refund to show up on the card statement.

In the event of your card expiring or being cancelled, the refund will need to be made through Bank Transfer or Paypal. Popcultcha can not refund money onto a different credit card. 

  •  Paypal

How a refund is credited depends on how the original payment was made:

If you paid with your bank account (eCheck or Instant Transfer) or PayPal balance, the money will go back to your PayPal balance.

If you paid by credit card, the money will go back to your card. It can take up to 30 days for the refund to show up on the card statement.  

Refunds are issued in Australian Dollars (AUD) at Paypal’s current currency exchange rate. Popcultcha is not liable for any variation in amount refunded due to exchange rates. 

  •  Bank Transfer

If you have paid by Bank Transfer Popcultcha will refund the money via Bank Transfer to your Bank Account. In order to do this you must first provide Popcultcha with your Account Name, BSB & Account Number. 

Transfers from financial institutions are not instant, and it may take up to 3 - 5 working days from the time the transfer was made to receive your refund.

 

Lucky Lasts

If we are down to our last unit of an item, it may or may not have been opened and displayed behind glass in our Geelong Supastore. We will let you know if this is the case and will ascertain if the piece is in factory mint condition. If it is, we will return it’s original factory shipper and send it out to you.

However, if we discover any defect or damage, we will contact you first before sending it out via phone or email and let you know the exact condition of the goods. We may also follow up with a photo. It is then at Popcultcha’s discretion to offer you, the customer, a discounted deal on the piece to compensate for any wear and tear. This is negotiated only when this rare occurrence arises and is treated on a case-by-case basis. 

As the terms and conditions of sale for a lucky last item include the customer agreeing to the current condition of the product they will not be issued a refund or exchange barring any damage to the product received that had not communicated by Popcultcha.
