Mary Timony - Mountains 20th Anniversary 2xLP Vinyl Record

Mary Timony is one of the most prolific musicians out there. No history of American indie music should be written without a chapter on her output, which continues to this day with her current band Ex Hex.

After her influential band Helium hung up their hat, Mary released her debut solo album “Mountains" in 2000. The album finds Timony dialing into territory that was barer and more confessional than her past work. Her stark arrangements are augmented with the newly ornate instrumentation of piano, vibraphone, and viola. The albums lyrics are tinted with slyly occult imagery.

Remastered by Bob Weston, “Mountains 20th Anniversary" includes the previously unreleased original take and a newly recorded orchestral version of “Valley of One Thousand Perfumes.”
