Originating from Late Cretaceous North America, the Parasaurolophus was among the first species cloned by InGen for Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar. A herd of fifteen animals were present on Nublar by 1993, but their population was reduced to nine by 1994 due to continued attacks by the Tyrannosaurus.
