Godzilla - Godzilla 14” Statue
"The way I tried to view it was to imagine Godzilla was a real creature and someone from Toho saw him in the 1950s and ran back to the studio to make a movie about the creature and was trying their best to remember it and draw it. And in our film you get to see him for real.” - Gareth Edwards (Director).
Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures 2014 film Gozilla brought for the first time the Japanese tone and mythos of the iconic creature to a Hollywood production. Parting from the origin story that Godzilla was the product of Nuclear testing in the Pacific in the 1950’s, these tests were instead described as an attempt to kill this prehistoric alpha predator that was awoken by a deep sea expedition.
Sideshow Collectables have unveiled their 14” Godzilla Statue, featuring an original sculpt designed and developed referencing digital assets from the groundbreaking film. The inspiration of Toho’s original creature design can be seen in this piece, which stands upon a movie logo themed base.
The perfect addition to any kaiju or monster film collection, it will be hard to find a piece that better portrays Godzilla’s terrifying ferocity.
