The packs light up. The traps open. The 'Busters have little cigarettes!
Sure, you can quibble: while the Ray sculpt and paintwork are stunning, Winston is a little red. Venkman's eyes are brown. Slimer, while great, and translucent, is one of many possible interpretations of Slimer. I am not knowledgeable enough about the movie costumes to know, but apparently some of the belt doohickeys and pack details aren't 100% movie accurate. But they all look amazing. There is such detail on everything ... even little burned and weathered warning signs on the packs. Digital watches on the wrists underneath the gloves. Hoses and wires and motherboards and daughterboards everywhere. PKE meters. Magazine covers. Stickers. A sign to hang. Even the boxes have cloth name patches on them! I had to ask Ray, 'Am I in heaven? Are you a God?' He tells me no.
If you watched Ghostbusters even a quarter as many times as I did as a kid, you will be over the moon with this set. The only real problem is that after opening all four of these in one day, no other sixth-scale collecting experience is going to come close.
One thing to watch out for: some figures have been shipping with duplicate hands. My Winston had two relaxed gloved left hands rather than a left hand in a different pose (basically, they doubled up on the hand that comes attached to the fig). I've heard Blitzway know about this issue though, so if it happens, just contact Popcultcha and they should set you right. It's no biggie, just something to look out for. The QC on this very detailed and very complex set was great in all other regards, for me at least.
These four packs are sold out all over the place. If you are a Ghostbusters fan, and a sixth scale collector, and you let this pack slip by? Well ... remember during the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex Supplicants? Many Shubs and Zulls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you. Don't let yourself feel like a roasted Zull by missing out on these.
