Dr. John - The Sun, Moon & Herbs Expanded Edition 3xLP Vinyl Record (2021 Record Store Day Exclusive)

Pressed on vinly as an Expanded 3xLP Vinyl Record is Dr. John's "The Sun, Moon & Herbs". Released in celebration of Record Store Day 2021, the recording is a deluxe and limited 50th anniversary edition of Dr. John's fourth studio album for Atco Records.

Malcom John Rebennack, better known as Dr. John, was an American singer songwriter who fused elements of blues, pop, jazz, boogie-woogie, funk, and rock and roll. Recorded during his 1971 album sessions, "The Sun, Moon & Herbs" was noted for its contributions from Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, and other iconic musicians. It's been described as "dark and swampy" in its tonalities, and "best listened to on a hot, muggy night with the sound of thunder rumbling off in the distance like jungle drums" - Allmusic. This 50th anniversary edition of the iconic release features three LPs with deluxe packaging and new liner notes with over 70 minutes of previously unreleased material on two discs.

All tracks on LPs Two and Three are previously unreleased, except track 3 on LP Two, Side Two which was issued on ROGV-020, Dr. John's "Professor Bizarre's Funkology".
