I collect TARDISes, I have a blue TARDIS teapot, and when I saw this new Silver one, well I had to get one.
And here is my honest review.
I have used my blue teapot, it makes about 2 1/2 cups of tea and doesn't leak while pouring, as I thought might happen, but no, it pours really well.
But I'd be worried about using my Silver one, firstly it's more of a collectors piece, being for the 50th Anniversary, but also, I noticed minor scratches in the silver when I unboxed it... please don''t be too worried, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but I've wondered if the scratches might worsen with extra handling.
The silver TARDIS teapot is far more solid than the blue one, the insides are definitely stronger, which I was pleased to see.
My Verdict is that this is a great piece, which perhaps could have been made better, but as it stands is lovely.
I would get one for looks, something to put in a glass case and admire, or to have in a kitchen as kitchenalia, there are people who collect teapots or kitchen gear and this would be perfect for them, even if they're not a Doctor Who fan.
If you want to make tea in a teapot, get the blue one, but do remember to treat it with care as it's quite delicate.
