Batman Returns - Catwoman Maquette Statue
I don't know about you, Miss Kitty, but I feel so much yummier.
The darkest, most gothically inspired version of Batman came to life in 1992, pulled out of the ominously playful mind of director Tim Burton. His last film at the reigns of the iconic franchise, Burton did not hold back in creating the tone and wonder that a Batman film ought to be. Part 1966 TV series, part Hammer Horror, this concoction of weird and wacky remains a stand out film in both Tim Burton’s career and in the Batman franchise.
Staring Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer, Danny DeVito and Christopher Walken, the performances in this film have made a permanent impact in the world of pop culture, and DeVito and Pfeiffer remain the quintessential embodiment of The Penguin and Catwoman, respectively.
The nostalgic nuts over at Tweeterhead have been inspired to recreate Burton’s Catwoman in all her wit, confidence and leather-clad sensuality with this new Maquette.
Standing 17” tall, Catwoman is set upon the roof of Shreck’s Department Store, whip in hand, ready to pull a grand heist. Wearing the definitive Catwoman costume designed Burton and costume designer Mary Vogt, this faithful recreation has been perfectly captured Michelle Pfeiffer’s appearance as Selina Kyle, right down to the gloss on her suit.
