Absolute lack of articulation
Jason - 30/04/17 - 01:42pm
It's a great figure to look at for sure. However, it is not meant to be a static statue, and we collectors like to put our high priced figures through various poses. This is where this figure falls extremely short. It has extreme limitations on its articulation and i was quite disappointed, as I was going to show it off against my predators in various crouching stances. It can barely move its limbs, let alone go down on all fours. I would only recommend this figure if it was going to be put on a standing display only, as it literally cannot do anything else.
A xeno-what?

The first thing you notice when you pull this guy out of the box is his size. Keeping to 1/6 scale, he towers above other 1/6 figures. The finish on his rubbery skin looks great and the actual sculpt is about perfect. It would have been better if his fingers and toes were articulated for further posing possibilities.
Alien Warrior 2.0

Great looking and very detailed figure with amazing paint application that shows various colors with different lighting. Significant improvements compared to 1.0. Very limited articulation due to the rubber suit. Jaw area is made of fragile and soft rubber material which might deteriorate overtime. Fingers crossed.
Lack of articulation, but great looking figure!
Kool Kollectibles Khai - 05/09/16 - 03:30am
The rubber suit severely limits the articulation of the arms and legs of the Hot Toys Alien Warrior. The instructions actually warn against leaving the limbs bent for long periods of time.
But the overall detail in the sculpting and the paint application is just beautiful. They really captured the glistening look of the alien skin. There's just enough articulation to be able to get the figure into a walking or stalking pose, which looks great. It's a shame that a full crouching pose like in the movie is just not possible.
Also would've been nice if it had included some more accessories. But overall, another awesome figure by Hot Toys!
